the current that flows produces a brief and repeated magnetic field, but more powerful than that of conventional devices, and discrimination is better. These few pulsed exchanges make it possible to specify the metallic composition of the detected object.

However, the majority of detectors available on the market are VLF: “very low frequency”. On these devices, the magnetic field is produced continuously. It is an electronic circuit and not a magnetic exchange as in the case of pulsed induction detectors. VLFs are less powerful than pulsed induction, but also less expensive and less complex to use.

If they are the most sold and the most requested, it is because their performances are largely sufficient for leisure detection as well as for the search for some treasures.

Get the right maps

Get some old maps ! Don’t expect to find a legendary pirate’s treasure map, but these documents can be useful in understanding the topography and history of the sites you visit, and in pinpointing where some valuable items might be found. Be careful, however, not to go to any prohibited places.

Get permission from the landowner

Whatever the site, it is always better to take the necessary precautions with the town hall or the private owner. Your treasure is at stake, because if no agreement has been signed, any discovery made on private land belongs only to the owner.
